Who is L. Karno, and why should we trust him?

Louis Karno started a shoe findings business on Chicago’s Maxwell Street in 1906. Under long-time president Max Siegel, the company evolved into machine belts, shoe insoles, men’s ties, and eventually infant goods. Max Siegel learned to change with the market, and thus survived the Depression by selling adhesive soles for worn-out shoes. In 1993, Siegel’s grandson, Jayme Simões, used capital from L. Karno to start The Inn at Maplewood Farm, which soon became one of New Hampshire’s premier lodging properties. In 1999 the L. Karno legacy changed again, with the founding of L. Karno & Co., a specialized communications and tourism strategies group.
L. Karno & Co.’s goal is simple: Help people to communicate. That is, focus on providing affordable guidance to not-for-profits and small companies that seek a voice for their message.

"“Our greatest asset:
Your goodwill.”
Louis Karno, founder.
